What happens if you’re like me and your favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Every Thanksgiving I try to make my father happy by buying him a Dallas Cowboys gift card or some other team merchandise but every year he gets something different, like this T-Shirt. What’s interesting about this T-Shirt is that it’s basically a sports themed cross between the Dallas Cowboys and the Louisiana Ranger. I think this type of cross between two franchises that has a long standing history and a lot of tradition behind it is a great way to make someone happy on Thanksgiving.

So the story goes that at a bar in New Orleans back in 2021 a waiter was asked to replace an entire jug of beer (made out of goat milk and cheddar cheese) because it was spilling all over the place. So he goes to the kitchen to get a new jug and when he’s done the waitress tells him that he can’t have that many mugs of beer because it’s an open bar. The waiter gets frustrated and throws down the new jug of beer in anger. The waitress then goes to get another jug which is also empty. To make matters worse, she can’t find one in the closet so she goes back out to the bar and asks for a Dispatcher.

The waitress, Marla who is waiting tables also has no idea what a Dispatcher is so when she asks him he simply says “He’s the man who takes things away.” To this day I have yet to find a restaurant in the city of New Orleans that doesn’t use a Dispatcher on a regular basis. Both teams represent some of the biggest names in pro sports. They are my two favorite teams to follow both in person and on television.
